- Look at the cover. What do you see?

- Who is in your family?
After reading
- Who did the baby bird meet?
- Was the cow his mother?
- How did he feel at the end?
How to teach it
- Open the PowerPoint. Ask the "before reading" questions and teach the new words with the flashcards.
- Hand out one flashcard per child. Read the book aloud. Children hold up their card when they hear their word.
- Practise the sentence pattern together, then play the picture game in the slides.
- Ask the "after reading" questions.
- Finish with the printable project: Are You a ___?.
