1. Who We Are

SimpsonESL ("we", "us", "our") provides an online platform at simpsonesl.com that helps ESL teachers generate lesson plans, worksheets, and flashcards for young learners. The service is operated by Chris Simpson.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading any materials, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2A. Early Access / Founding Member Status

SimpsonESL is currently in Early Access (alpha stage). By signing up as a Founding Member you expressly acknowledge and agree to all of the following:

  • The platform is under active development. Lessons, worksheets, flashcards, and other content are being added and updated on a rolling basis and are not yet complete.
  • Individual lesson materials may contain errors, omissions, typos, or placeholder content. They are provided as a work-in-progress.
  • Features, pricing, content structure, and availability may change at any time without prior notice.
  • The Founding Member subscription price of $20/month (or $180/year) is a promotional early-access rate. This rate is locked for Founding Members who maintain an active subscription. The standard price will increase at general launch.
  • You are subscribing to an early-access service, not a finished product. SimpsonESL makes no representation that all promised features or content will be available by any specific date.
  • SimpsonESL shall not be held liable for any loss, inconvenience, or dissatisfaction arising from the incomplete or evolving nature of the platform during the Early Access period.

If you do not wish to use an early-access service, please do not sign up until the platform reaches general release.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address when registering.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • One account per person. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a limited number of free downloads to try the generator. Once free downloads are used, a subscription or bundle purchase is required to continue generating materials.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Monthly plan: billed every 30 days via PayPal.
  • Yearly plan: billed once per year via PayPal at a discounted rate.
  • Payments are processed securely by PayPal. SimpsonESL does not store your card or payment details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your PayPal account before the next billing date.
  • Prices are displayed in USD. PayPal handles currency conversion for international buyers.

6. Bundles (One-Time Purchases)

Bundle purchases are one-time payments that give you a downloadable archive of materials. Bundles do not include ongoing generator access. Downloads are provided immediately after payment confirmation.

7. Refund Policy

Because our products are digital downloads delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds on completed purchases. If you experience a technical problem preventing access to your purchase, contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.

8. License to Use Materials

A paid subscription or bundle purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable personal license to:

  • Print and use generated materials in your own classroom.
  • Make copies for students in your own class.

You may not:

  • Sell, redistribute, or sublicense any SimpsonESL materials.
  • Share generated PDFs publicly on websites, social media, or file-sharing platforms.
  • Use the materials for commercial training programs without written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on SimpsonESL — including lesson plans, worksheets, flashcard designs, curriculum structures, the SimpsonESL logo, and the website itself — is the intellectual property of SimpsonESL and is protected by copyright. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

10. User-Generated Content (Forum)

The SimpsonESL forum allows registered users to post messages and share teaching tips. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content on the platform. You agree not to post spam, offensive content, or material that infringes on the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

SimpsonESL is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet any specific educational standard. Use the materials in accordance with your own professional judgment.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimpsonESL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or its materials. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months prior to the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international law. Disputes shall be resolved by good-faith negotiation where possible.
