Before reading
- Look at the cover. What do you see?
- Do you have a favourite toy?
- How do you feel when you lose something?
After reading
- Where did they go with Dad?
- What did the little girl lose?
- How did she feel when they found it?
How to teach it
- Open the PowerPoint. Ask the "before reading" questions and teach the new words with the flashcards.
- Hand out one flashcard per child. Read the book aloud. Children hold up their card when they hear their word.
- Practise the sentence pattern together, then play the picture game in the slides.
- Ask the "after reading" questions.
- Finish with the printable project: Where Is My Bunny?.
